Pilates and Gyrotonic® instructors at reFORM Pilates and Movement are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. By state mandate, all staff and clients are currently required to wear a mask while in the studio, regardless of COVID vaccination status.

One of the benefits of Pilates and Gyrotonic exercise is learning to breathe more fully, and working out without a mask does make the breathing technique easier. However we can modify exercises to allow for gentler breathing. While most Pilates and Gyrotonic exercises call for breath in through the nose and out through the mouth, some people find that in and out through the nose is more comfortable in a mask. Because Pilates and Gyrotonic classes rarely lead to excessive sweating, the risk of soaking one’s mask and having a hard time breathing is very low.

We at reFORM are taking many precautions against the spread of COVID-19. We have placed high-powered air filters throughout the studio, fully cycling the air every few minutes. We have reupholstered all of our Gyrotonic equipment with material that can be thoroughly sanitized after each use, like all of our Pilates equipment. Our equipment and scheduling stations are currently organized to keep at least six feet of space between all clients. We ask that everyone wash or sanitize their hands before each session.

As of July 2021, our Pilates mat and Gyrokinesis® classes are online, unless otherwise noted. See our schedule here. We also offer online private and small group classes online through Zoom. We have found that online lessons can be just as transformative as in person, and many of our clients have made amazing progress in the last year with only online training!
